This link takes you to an article about Christopher Eccleson's complaints that when he was on set for Thor the ears he had to wear left lots of uncomfortable wax in his ear. I believe this is wrong on the costume departments part as they should make safe sturdy costumes for the actors that will bring in many watchers of the film. Costume is a very important aspect of film looking from a mise en scenes perspective the costumes in Thor are vital to each individual character but I don't think it should be at the cost of an actors health or wellbeing .Do you agree could they have changed any aspects of the ears to make them more safe? The interview is interesting as it includes Christopher Eccleson's own opinion on the matter and even makes a whimsical joke about the inconvenience. A true actor will take the good with the bad In my opinion. What do you think? Without the famous ears I don't think Christopher Eccleson's character would be as scary or true to comics.Could they have been made with another material that would not have been so irritating?I think if it could have been done it would of been!

Depp surprises Sir Christopher Lee with film award

I recently posted reporting that Sir Christopher Lee had won an award now I post an article on his response of receiving the award from fellow actor and good friend Johnny Depp. Lee was said to be tearful when accepting the award and this was no doubt because Depp was there to award it. From the article He said of Depp: "He means an enormous amount to me. He is one of very few young actors on screen today who's truly a star.
Also it states Sir Christopher, 91, who described receiving his award as "a great joy", is famed for his villainous portrayals of Bond bad guy Scaramanga and evil wizard Saruman in The Lord of the Rings.

I have posted this link as I keep my self updated with news on the soon to be released film 12 Years a Slave. I'm looking forward to watching this film when it is released 24th January 2014.The film is about a man who was sold into slavery in 1841.The article is about how the film has decided to include violent scenes explaining that this was the only way to truly represent slavery. I agree with their choice to include such scenes in the movie if the correct mood and history is created by including these scenes. I believe it is only correct to all those affected by slavery to have the correct story told .It should not be sugar coated for anybody as people must realise the world we live in and its history. To hide this fact would be disrespectful and ignorant and as long as the scenes have been shot in a respectful and tactful way then the violent scenes would not offend but educate and open my mind to the truths that these people lived by.

I love Carpenters Halloween starring Jamie Lee Curtis as it is set on my favourite day of the year and is you haven't guessed this from all the posts and clues it is of course the spooktacular themed day with witches goblins and ghosts HALLOWEEN !! This film is great to watch on the night of the 31st as it becomes ever more real to life. I advise not to watch if your baby sitting it may freak you out a little to much!

Honestly the first half of this trailer looks awesome but then Mr Smith begins to talk who I have never been happy with. I'm very happy to see the BBC are celebrating Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary as I have been a whovian from a very young age enjoying Christopher Eccleston's episodes but my Doctor will always be the amazing David Tennant. I didn't carry on watching when Matt Smith came in but despite the hefty part he will seemingly play in the film I will defiantly be watching . I think it is very important to celebrate such achievement that such a show can withstand time. The article states Doctor Who's 50th anniversary special 'The Day of the Doctor', starring Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and John Hurt, will air worldwide on November 23.Im super excited are you ? October. Halloween is awakening so here's a link to a top 10 list of horror films to watch. Reviewing the list most sound like great October watches to get excited for Halloween and pass my Halloween acceptance radar. With a mix of old and new films the list should keep you jumping sweating and frightened in the weeks to come. For a classic horror take a look at The Shining voted 5th that I find fairly enjoyable and "scarable" for the masses. I personally would not be watching 6th as I don't like the story line and find it an unnecessary one to make a horror film.1st is Psycho ;just make sure its the 1960s version reviewed by Mark Kermode "After half a century of terror, Psycho is still ensuring that no one feels safe in the shower" .Not the 1998 remake that is awful. I trust this list as it is created and published by the guardian a well trusted news source and also includes reviews from well know film critics.

I'm posting this article as I'm always keeping up with all things hunger games. Josh  Hutcherson has now done an interview and has stated "The camouflage of Peeta in the book is not funny, but then when you have me with clay on my face, lying there half dead, and I turn my face to the camera - it's so laughable. It's impossible not to laugh."
I have read the book and watched the film and thought that even thought specific elements of the book were lacking in the film I still love the film. In the book Peeta's survival is very serious ; has you scared and emotionally connected but I have to admit in the film the scene received a blurt of laughs. I think this may be because once a scene has been placed in front of you and from out of your min the magic from the book can fade. When watching again it still has a little giggle but then can be scene as creepy and is slowly scaring me !!
Im surprised such a scene has made it to the cinemas without Josh having a smirk on his face. This just proves how a good actor can bring so much to a film and result in its success.

I watched The Vanishing other night and liked the sound of the film. Then I seen that Kiefer Sutherland was starring in it.I find it hard to hate any film that Kiefer Sutherland is in and The Vanishing is no exception. I loved this film. Family/ Mad man Barney Cousins played by Jeff Bridges is on the hunt for a lady and is more than shocked when he is about to give up his desperate stalker attempts on women when the lovely Diane Shaver played by Sandra Bullock comes along and is intrigued into his car and taken. Diane's boyfriend Jeff Harriman played by Kiefer Sutherland doesn't give up the such on his girlfriend and is broken by her disappearance .This is all until Rita Baker comes along and steals his heart. This upset me personally. How could Sutherland move on so fast? Reminding my self that he is playing Jeff Harriman I continued with the film with an open mind. It seems Jeff moved on but still wanted to know what happened to his love. He soon comes face to face with Barney and gives him a bloody appearance. What would a film with Kiefer Sutherland be without a slice of his hard guy persona ? Jeff even risks his own safety playing the games of the mad man to find out what happened to Diane. The result is chilling and I advice all to watch. Beautifully played my love for Lost Boys star Sutherland is ever growing.

I watched this film today on the Horror channel and I enjoyed it. I did not know any of the actors but found them all talented as they tackled the role of doubling up as the clones. The story was a fairly good b movie in my eyes with a few twists and turns that kept it watchable. The ending is shocking as Craig choses clone Tracy who seems to truly love him instead of helping the original Tracy who throughout the film seemed to really dislike each other. I liked the idea behind the film that a scientists experiment could go wrong which would then lead to the disastrous results years later.
I really did love how each character had there own classic characteristics which made the film more unique as the contrast of characters began to get more complex and personal when face to face with their clones. I wouldn't watch this film again as its not a film that could withstand time. I think this because themes in the film are relevant to this era and as the film is only from 2012 can live another day for a few years but will cease to increase in popularity I also think this is because all the actors are unknown. Maybe if they become more famous in the future then Cloned will be revisited and maybe become a greater hit looking back on an actor. This just shows how having a well known liked actor in your film can effect the overall success. I wonder if this film would be more of a success if Tom Cruise was Craig? I think that its just another classic b movie that will be forgotten.What do you think?

A film released on Halloween 1962 is a creepy horror about Baby Jane Hudson played by Bette Davis who is a former child star who torments her crippled sister Blanche Hudson played by Joan Crawford in their house.

A terrifying story of hate and loss in the unusual ways WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE is a brilliant film that I love to watch. The film is old so is in black and white. Some IMDB Trivia (According to Bette Davis in her book "This N' That", the film was originally going to be shot in color. Bette opposed this, saying that it would just make a sad story look pretty. ) Runs for 134mins so is for a persistent audience but defiantly one to buy as Bette Davis plays a truly evil character who even serves up her sisters beloved budgie for diner.
(In her book "This N' That", Bette Davis said she had a lot of control over how her makeup should be done for the film. She imagined the older Jane as someone who would never wash her face, just put on another layer of makeup. I enjoy this film because it has a good storyline with constant shocks from Jane. It includes scenes that contrast from humour to sadness that shows Baby Jane now older still singing as a child believing she can make it again. Things intensify as she gets more violent and sinister with her sister Blanche. With an unbelievable ending that you will not see coming in all your wildest thoughts you must must must see WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE ? Kill curiosity and find out!

The format of the "The Beast Must Die" is intriguing allowing the audience to be the detective. I also enjoyed the stopwatch; to make up our minds on who we thought the werewolf was, making us feel very much a part of the story and allowing for a deeper understanding to each character. I wasn't too impressed with the werewolf ,and was hoping for something more mutated than the image of a dog/wolf. On the other hand I did like the unique change from wolf to human, when the identity is revealed as it added to suspense as the image of the wolf disappeared. I liked the way it followed the murder mystery format, and thought it added a historical and chilling twist to the film. Although at times the dark scenes with the wolf were difficult to make out in it only added to the shadiness of the creature further more the mystery of the plot. I would recommend the beast must die to anyone who loves murder mysteries with twists and turns ,and who also has a taste for the human flesh loving Werewolf's.

I've posted the link to this article about London's 57th film festival as the film Captain Phillips will be screened a film I have discussed on my blog before and I wait in anticipation to see. I think it is great to have the opportunity to see the films in a screening as it also helps celebrate new films with an old festival that celebrates both old and new films. There are still tickets available to the festival which is surprising to me considering that there is such a wide range of films to be screened on the 9th October with 235 feature films and 134 short films from 57 countries all around the world. Surely this would entertain even the fussiest film goer ?

I have posted this article about Sir Christopher Lee as I like him very much as an actor. Starring in many classic horror films such as Dracula I have huge respect for him and in a word he brings the spook into spooktacular being an actor who can truly scare me.Lord of the Rings legend will be honoured by the movie industry with a fellowship from the British Film Institute.He also has a special place in my heart from playing Willy Wonka's dad in the 2005 version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Personally anyone who takes Halloween candy of someone, burns the lollypops ,candy chews ,and chocolate balls with pumpkin wrappers on right in front of them with a grin is the greatest villain of all!

Just finished watching Skyline and I have to say it was awful. Starring Donald Faison from Clueless I was intrigued to see what the film was like as it was a si fi with aliens ,and I love anything to do with the supernatural. Faison plays the role of Terry a happy go lucky funny man who I was fairly thrilled to see appear on my screen from a corny interpretation of an American party. He soon dies .Lacking any kind of storyline or depth the film had very 2d character's.

The ending was horrendously cheesy as they are taken by the aliens and somehow manage to fit in "that kiss". I can imagine Faison was happy to be killed of so soon to escape from such irritating scenes. I feel like crawling to a whole to hide from all si fi films for a long time as this was such a bad version of a classic tale of alien invasion.This was disappointing from both directors who have worked on films such as Titanic and Xmen.

Needless to say Skyline will not be in my DVD collection.
